Harvest Mule - Art at the Clif Family Harvest Fest

One of our very favorite gigs each year is the Clif Family Winery Harvest Festival.  We’ve played there for 8 consecutive years, and for each of those 8 years we’ve shared the event with artist William Callnan III.  Each year William draws an outline on canvas and then encourages guests to paint on the work-in-progress throughout the evening.  At the end of the night he adds the finishing touches and raffles off the finished product.  In years past he has done a variety of harvest and farm related themes:  chickens, sunflowers, artichokes, etc.  But in 2018 he was truly inspired and quite outdid himself.  His title for the year:  “Harvest Mule.”  As if that wasn’t cool enough in itself, the winner of the raffle turned out to be one of the Mules, so William’s masterpiece will get to stay in the family.  William and his wife Nikki are also accomplished ceramicists.  Check them out at http://nbcpottery.com/.
