News Flash

Keeping you up-to-date on all of the Swampy Tonk happenings of your favorite misguided local equestrian-themed band, Miracle Mule.

I was reminded recently how lucky I am to play music and have people who come out to dance and have fun at the Miracle Mule shows. Thank you for being awesome!

We now return you to our normal newsletter.

Mules on 4th - Friday November 8, 6pm

4th-st-art-walkArt + Mules = Awesome!

The monthly San Rafael Art Walk is being held this Friday from 5 - 8 pm. This monthly event is great, and if you've never been, I highly recommend it. Local art will be on display at local galleries and shops on 4th Street, plus there will be music, food and drinks (Yee Haw!). You can learn more about this event on the Art Walk Facebook Page.

Miracle Mule will be taking up a hay filled stall in the Marin Fencing Academy foyer, at 827 4th Street. Map. Come on down, park anywhere along the main drag in 4th street and pop into the local businesses to see the art on display and enjoy the festivities!

   * Admission - FREE!
   * 827 4th Street, San Rafael
   * Friday, Nov 8, 6 - 9pm

Marin Country Mart - Sunday November 10, 2013

marin-country-mart Folk-ish Music Series

Remember Larkspur Landing? Well, it has been completely remodeled and is now very compatible with Miracle Mule's backward country-tinged ways. They have a terrific music series and Miracle Mule has been invited to crash their idyll with our swampy-tonkin' dance party.

This is a daytime appearance, so there is a slightly greater likelihood (.003%) of seeing Miracle Mule play sober!

This event is for ZD Wines wine club members only, so if that is you, then come on down. If you are not a member, you might want to think about joining the club. Their wines are on the must try list.

HopMonk Novato - December 18, 2013

badge-hopmonk300 "Featured Performer"

The folks over at HopMonk Novato have a great open mic every Wednesday, hosted by the talented and very gracious Dennis Haneda. After losing a bar bet, Dennis has relented and reluctantly agreed to allow Miracle Mule occupy his "Featured Performer" slot at the open mic.

If you haven't had a chance, get yourself down to the open mic at HopMonk. It is a guaranteed good time.

Rancho Nicasio - December 27, 2013

ranchonicasioKickin' In The New Year!

This is going to be a great show! We have lots planned. Some of the ideas we are kicking around:

* Pin the tail on the Mule
* Mule Rides
* Charades instead of singing
* Treasure Hunt - find the mule "treasure"

We are still refining all of the ideas, but seriously, who doesn't like charades?

Of course there will still be plenty of swampy tonk to go around plus lots of dancing! Get the date on your calendar now, Friday December 27.

40 Acres

We couldn't do this without you.

You can do your part to make the world a better place and help bring Swampy Tonk to the world, one backward friend at a time. But what can you do?

  • Forward this newsletter to a friend
  • Bring a friend or twenty to a swampy tonk show
  • Buy some Mule Tack for the fashion impaired
  • Contact your local club and insist that they lower their standards

Thank you. Please forgive any typos in the News Flash. It is hard to type with hooves.

    We got nothing but positive feedback from everyone, and we hope Miracle Mule will be back for next year's festival. There were plenty of folks who came to the Cajun Festival specifically for the music, and we didn't hear a single negative. Jean Y.

    Our people loved Miracle Mule and wanted to have them back next year. They were absolutely the greatest band we've had in years.
